Why is it one of the most visited coves in Ibiza?

We are in one of the most visited coves on the island. Why is it so popular with tourists and locals alike?

Cala Tarida offers those who come here crystal clear turquoise waters worthy of beaches in the Caribbean or the Maldives. In addition, its calm and family atmosphere makes it suitable for all ages, from the youngest to the oldest.

In addition, another of the main attractions of this cove are its sunsets. You can say goodbye to the sun and welcome the night like never before: with a panoramic view of the Mediterranean Sea bathed in the colours of the sunset.

The perfect combination of tranquillity, nature and leisure activities is what makes Cala Tarida a must-see destination in Ibiza.

Where is Cala Tarida?

Cala Tarida is located on the west coast of Ibiza, in the municipality of Sant Josep de Sa Talaia. This paradisiacal enclave is about 20 kilometres from the city of Ibiza and approximately 10 kilometres from the airport, which makes it a cove accessible from practically any point on the island.

How to get to Cala Tarida in Ibiza?

Being one of the best-connected coves on the island, getting to Cala Tarida is quite easy, whether you go on your own or by public transport.

Access by public transport

Parking and parking areas

One of the good things about this cove compared to others in the area or in Ibiza is that it has a large car park close to the beach.

It’s free, so in high season you’ll have to go early in the morning if you want to get a spot. But, in low season, you can park without any problems.

If you can’t find a parking space in the main car park, there are areas along the road where you can also park.

As we said before, it is one of the busiest coves in high season. Therefore, to avoid traffic and space problems, we advise you to go early in the morning or late in the afternoon.

If you use public transport, check timetables in advance, as frequencies may vary depending on the season.
